FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW
JERSEY SINGER-SONGWRITER June, 2001 — New Jersey Singer-Songwriter, Scott Lippincott, and personal manager, Gabrielle Hewson, have launched http://www.scottlippincott.com, to the delight of fans of his unique studio alternative pop music. The site also serves as a no-nonsense virtual media kit, presenting well-written interviews, useful links to music-related services and fellow musicians, and will soon include music and press archives among elements being added in the next few months. “From it’s conception, we wanted to create a website that was extremely visitor-friendly — no hoops — geared to fans, while providing industry executives easy access to mp3s and detailed information about Scott in a matter of moments,” Hewson explained. The interactive site features free downloadable music demos, a monthly eNewsletter entitled Together Alone, and, offers visitors the opportunity to have a say in the content of Lippincott’s next studio CD. Said Lippincott, “It has truly been a labor of love — lots of blood, sweat and tears and a few learning curves for both of us — but it’s all been well worth it. We’re very happy with the end result.” From the emails they have been receiving, so are fans, friends and colleagues who have visited the site. Songs aboard the website’s maiden voyage include: the retro-y Beatlesque power-pop featured selection, “Deep in My Heart”; “Allison’s Room”, stylistically comparable to Elliott Smith; the pop rock anthem, “Gordelia”; “Together Alone”, an emotionally deep, yet beautifully raw and simple love song; and, “Everything Runs Together”, pure fun propelled by quirky lyrics and an energetic mix of drums and harmonica. An ideal sampling of distinctive musicianship, melodic hooks, passionate lyrics and raw, innocent vocals that really delivers. Lippincott and New Jersey cohorts, bassist Matt Twers and drummer John Lewandowski, came together five years ago, working the original and cover band circuit for the club and college markets throughout the Jersey Shore, Philadelphia, New York, and all points in between. Their last project, The Karma Factory, produced Going Places in 1997 and a self-titled CD in 1998. The recordings showcased Scott’s instrumental dexterity on keys, bass, acoustic and electric guitars. His original songs helped them develop a comfortable and solid area fan base, and received positive reviews and airplay from numerous local radio stations.
